Whenever Allu Arjun announces a new movie, the excitement in the Telugu states goes through the roof. He is not just called the “Stylish Star” for nothing! But when the posters and teasers for Duvvada Jagannadham (DJ) first dropped, fans were completely surprised.
Directed by Harish Shankar and marking the grand 25th production of Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, DJ promised to be a massive romantic comedy and action entertainer. However, the director kept a secret. The movie posters clearly showed that his character had “two shades”—the innocent traditional cook, and the highly dangerous, stylish “DJ.” Fans couldn’t wait to see how he switched between these two personalities on screen.

While Allu Arjun shocked everyone with his traditional look, Pooja Hegde did the exact opposite.
Before DJ, audiences mainly knew Pooja from movies like Oka Laila Kosam, Mukunda, and the Bollywood historical movie Mohenjo Daro with Hrithik Roshan. In all those films, she played very traditional, quiet, girl-next-door roles.
